Great Knowley area

15.09.11 - flock of approx 6 greenfinches flew over; Barn owl hunting at dusk over former quarry
16.09.11 - Tawny owl heard after dusk in my front garden
17.09.11 - flock of approx 15 greenfinches flew over - 1 speckled wood, 1 red admiral and 1 peacock butterfly in my back garden
18.09.11 - 2 swallows feeding; kestrel over; peregrine flew over early evening - 2 speckled wood, 1 large white and 1 red admiral butterflies in my back garden

Yarrow Bridge area

18.09.11 - approx 4 house martins and a similar number of swallows feeding over the trees in the River Yarrow/Hoggs Lane area

Chris,

Not quite, the ankle is healing however I still can't drive, but I am down to one crutch for the most part. I have yet to go out bird spotting.
