Healey Nab Sunday 2nd January 2011

Post by Andy R »

Fairly quiet on the Nab today, but I still had 15 or so LT Tits, a mixed flock of Blue and Great Tits, at least 6 Jays (making a racket), mixed crows and rooks in the fileds on the west side, 3 GS Woodpeckers, a small group of 5 or 6 Coal Tits, 1 Blackbird and a few Chaffinches. Also 1 Grey Squirrel and lots of sign of Roe Deer although none seen.

I must also have a moan about Chinese Lanterns. I have collected and disposed of 8 or 9 today, with many more hung up in the tree tops and beyond my reach. Surely not good for the wild life.

not good for cows either either when they get chopped up in silage, full of wire.
