An excellent meeting looking at the plight of British hedgehogs was slightly spoiled by the speaker making a few unscientific comments about " Badgers are a predator of hedgehogs". Chris Packham this week on Springwatch made the observation that badgers will eat hedgehogs given the chance but do NOT go searching for them.
