Four dedicated members enjoyed a glorious morning at the reserve, although it's a shame the main hide was still padlocked at 9.30 am. Birds seen:-
Mute Swan, Canada Goose, Mallard, Teal, Gadwall, Shoveler, Tufted Duck, Goldeneye, Goosander, Coot, Moorhen, G.C.Grebe, Cormorant, Grey Heron, Little Egret 4, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Ringed Plover, Redshank, Curlew, Common Sandpiper, Buzzard, BH Gull, Herring Gull, LBB Gull, Woodpigeon, Magpie, Jackdaw, Crow, Raven, Blue, Great, Coal and LT Tit, Goldcrest, Nuthatch, Treecreeper, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, Blackbird, Song Thrush, Redwing, Starling, Meadow Pipit, Pied Wagtail, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Reed Bunting

I can't add any birds from my list to your comprehensive list. I saw one Grey Squirrel and in the woods Paul pointed out to us a Scarlet Elf Cup mushroom which looked just like a scarlet cup used by an elf...
