Bitterns still on Meadow Lake. Best viewing time remains just before dusk either from the North grassland bank adjacent to the entrance road looking across to the hide and the Osprey platform (please keep well away from the lake edge to avoid wildlife disturbance) or from the visitor village access road looking towards the western bank.

Bittern and Barn Owl clearly visible today. For info. We are compiling a monthly sightings sheet to inform visitors what has been seen on the reserve on a month by month basis. These are on view in the Welcome Centre and the restaurant. This is in addition to the daily sightings board in the Welcome centre.

One Bittern appears to have departed but the remaining one is still showing by the Osprey pole and the Barn Owls are still giving stunning viewing opportunities.
