Black Redstart

Post by lindsay »

Feeding on top of the SandMartin boxes in front of the Lookout on No 1 this afternoon. A first for Brockholes!

It would appear that the Black Redstart was predated by a Sparrowhawk this morning!

Sparrowhawks have a lot to answer for. They always seem to go for the rare bird!

Bill Aspin saw it happen. He had been away since it arrived and was desperate to see it for his 'patch'. Just got it and then the Sparrowhawk moved in. Nature i suppose!
