Insects aplenty Friday AM 3rd July

Excellent morning for insects.

Dragonflies - 5 Emperor Dragonfly, 2 Brown Hawker, 20+ Black Tailed Skimmer, 30+ Four Spotted Chaser, Large Red Damselfly, Blue Tailed Damselfly, Azure Damselfly and Common Blue Damselfly.

Butterflies - Ringlet, Gatekeeper, Meadow Brown, Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell, Large Skipper, Small Skipper, Large White, Small White, Speckled Wood

Moths - Hummingbird Hawkmoth (spent some time at rest on footpath by my feet), 100+ Burnet Moths

Birds - Grasshopper Warbler reeling by the dipping pond was the highlight. 2 Ravens, Common Sandpiper, and Reed Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Blackcap, Whitethroat - all singing away nicely.
