Best sighting was 3 Goosander on the Lostock, plus a Kestrel perched in a Hawthorn on the embankment. A few Meadow Pipit took up as I walked past and one or two Yellowhammer contact called from the hedgerows. Several Blackbirds chunnered as only Blackbirds do and one or two Fieldfare chacked as they moved from bush to bush. Otherwise it was mainly Magpie, Jackdaw, Crow and Woodpigeon moving to their roost site.
