The waxwings were still present on my way down to the brook , birds spotted , gspecker , huge flock of finches ( mainly siskin) disturbed, around 70 birds , 1 pheasant , a single skylark flew over redwing numbers increasing , on my way back no sign of the waxwings but they could of been feeding somewhere .

1 buzzard , plenty of fieldfare and redwing , one pond produced a cock pheasant , a woodcock , a female reed bunting and a robin , also a tree creeper , 2 mallard on another pond , no sign of any snipe even though the ground is nearly back to normal .
