boxing day yarrow v.p.

Post by tony »

Mid morning visit from Burgh Lane saw a fox whose coat was in beautiful condition, but it was walking only on 3 legs, there was no blood in the snow where it had been so hopefully it will soon recover.
A woodcock flew out of the trees in front of us as we approached the reserve, where several robins were fighting around the feeding table, the usual tits etc & a jay was unusually brave, coming for food while we were 15 feet away.
2 ravens & a sparrowhawk were also seen overhead.

Hi Tony,

Nice to see you out and about yesterday we saw pretty much the same as you but sadly no woodcock. Please keep me posted on the Fox if you come across it again. All the best

Hi fellas.

It was good talking to you both, we went to M Mere yesterday & also saw the barn owl, about 1.30 pm, still plenty of brambling there too.
I will let you know if we see the fox, hopefully it will be a bit easier for it in this weather.
