Other peoples sightings.

Post by gary lilley » Mon Dec 27, 2010 9:48 am

Over the weekend ive spoken to several people who informed me of their wildlife sightings , 2 were of waxwings one on croston moss and the other in eccleston ( both of single birds) sombody else had seen the 2 white fallow deer wandering around near the main road in eccleston ( photographs to prove it) but the most interesting of all was that of what the observer desribed of a woodcock walking across the frozen river yarrow between eccleston and croston , after talking more about the sighting i suggested it was more likely to of been a water rail as the bird only flew further down the river into the banking.
