Garden Birds 21.12.10

Post by Neil Southworth »

A few snatches of song from a Mistle Thrush in the garden this morning. Merry Christmas Mistle Thrush! Thanks for reminding us that Spring is just down the road. Do you suppose it knows that today is the winter solstice, and the days now start to get longer? :D

My garden produced goldfinch, wren, blue tit, great tit, long tailed tit, coal tit, blackbird, collared dove, wood pigeon, magpie, chaffinch, bullfinch(4), my usual robin being a bully again and during the night I heard a female tawny owl. Will that count in the winter bird survey Neil?

Yes, as long as it was in your garden :)
