home garden bird behaviour .

Post by gary lilley »

Over the last couple of days ive noticed some bird behaviour you wouldnt normally get to see , ive seen several birds eating snow as well as feeding on one leg and the grey wagtail sat down ( like sheep do while feeding) also the robin and the blackcap were both feeding on sunflower hearts from a feeder , birds today so far , 20+ starlings , at least 9 individual blackbird , 1 grey 1pied wag , 2 goldfinch , 8 chaffinch , 1 song thrush , 2 robin , 1 dunnock , 1 goldcrest , blue and great tit , 3 collard dove , 1 magpie , 3 house sparrow (2 of which have been checking out a house martin nest) no sign of yesterdays male blackcap yet!
