Fallow Deer 29/11/10
Just been out again late afternoon and was rewarded with the sight of 4 Fallow Deer. One of them was dark in colour and blended in with the brown ferns and trees, but as Gary Lilley described last week, the other 3 are almost white. I dashed back home to get my daughter and they were still in the same place when we returned, she agreed they looked stunning. The sad thing is, as word gets round and because they are so easy to spot, its only a matter of time before someone tries harming them. Hope I'm wrong.

You are so right. The fallow deer that had been seen near Cuerden was found about three weeks ago dead and butchered
