Glorious morning for this walk which gives great views around the area, and contains a good mix of habitat - heath, water, pine woods and farmland. Not many thrushes about, and no raptors at all but otherwise a good mix of birds seen:-

Grey Heron, Mallard 32, Pochard 2, Tufted 3, Hybrid Goose 5, Moorhen 4, Coot 2, Pheasant, BH Gull, Woodpigeon 3, Grey Wagtail, Meadow Pipit, GS Pecker 2, Blackbird, Fieldfare, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, Blue, Great, Coal and Lt Tit (2 or 3 flocks), Goldcrest, Nuthatch 5, Treecreeper 2, Jay 7, Magpie 11, Jackdaw 4, Rook 20, Crow, Starling 12, House Sparrow 12, Chaffinch, Goldfinch 10, Siskin 2, Lesser Redpoll
Mammals:- Brown Rat, fresh mole hills (Heapey lodges)
