I have had no joy tracking down our local Waxwings and trust me i have tried, been following the links posted and checking them out to no avail. Things seem to have hit a lull,has anyone got any fresh sightings or info, i'm getting a bit desperate ! :?

Hi Dave, not yet, its dark when l go to work & dark when l get out.
Hopefully the Barrow birds will still be around on Sunday morning.
Then again should l go looking for the shrike, hmmm choices. :roll:

Theres a GG shrike not far from the waxwings, thats where everyone dashed of to when I was there in a lay-by near Moorcock pub Waddington Fell

Barrow this weekend..., lets hit it m8, wet for a good look round Preston today on the bike but no luck just ended up with a sore ass from a hard saddle lol

Praying for waxwings in the morning, just found put that 20+ were in the car park next door to me at dusk... wats the chance of them roosting there tonight????

They were in Preston on the blockbuster car park, corporation st.

it's a buisy street even at night though and theres been lots of fireworks tonigh so I'm not to confident that they be there in the morning.
