Along the canal a large bulging air bubble underneath the frozen water suddenly cracked the ice and the ice slowly sank. The bubble may have been formed by bubbles of air from water flowing from a nearby drainage pipe.
A bubble may or may not have caused this "island" in the frozen canal.
And how's this for fishing pegs
Also at least 5 Meadow Pipits in the horses' field off Town Lane.
