eccleston to croston (yarrow) tincklers fields, syd brook.se

started at 7.45am at st marys church bridge were i was greeted with a sighting of a medium sized grebe which dived as i looked over the bridge i looked for several miutes but there was no further sign of the bird, further down the river 8mallard 2 teal 1 grey wagtail, 1 kingfisher flying over the wyre, woodpigeon in small numbers, i also had a bit of luck i spottted a flock of goldfinch feeding on alder as i went nearer to the river a water rail took out of the embankment and flew to the opposite banking before skulking into the long grass, 1 reed bunting, several song thrush on the river banking ,only odd redwing and fieldfare, small amounts of tits , heard nuthatch in croston big wood .
tinklers fields , 1 reed bunting , 1 heron, 3 teal , heard what sounded like tree sparrows chirping near a farm, 1 jay, 12 snipe were flying around looking for somewhere to land, 3 moorhen on one pond.
eccleston syd brook, 2 buzzard, 2 grey wagtail, 2 bullfinch , 20 goldfinch on alder.
