We Spotted And Photographed 2 UFO's In Brinscal

Hi

Went to Brinscal yesterday and we spotted 2 UFOs ( Unidentified Fungal Objects) :lol: know species included Parrot Wax Cap, Snowy Wax Cap, Stinkhorn Eggs, King Alfred's Cakes Or Cramp Balls, Honey Fungus, The-Blusher and a Bracket Mushroom Detail

First 2 unknown

#1 Possible Changing Pholiota

UFOs

Sorry I can't help with the ID of your 2 UFOs but I question your suggestions, even though all your photos are very good. Pholiota species have been given the English name of 'Scalycap' for obvious reasons and I can't see any scales on your photo. You could be correct with the second suggestion although I'm not convinced. Good to see Stinkhorns are appearing at last as I haven't even smelled one yet!

Gutted, :( The stinkhorn had started to emerge, I went back today and its been Knocked over, by someone or a dog what a real shame there are only 2 left now, heres hoping one at least makes it to adult, heres what left it was smothered with flies
