Nine members enjoyed (I think) the first field trip of the New Year despite the icy conditions. The temperatute at the start was -4C but at the finish had reached the dizzy heights of -1C. The weather itself was dry and bright with just the minor inconvenience of a chilly south easterly breeze.
As we gathered to set off, we were treated to the sight of several thousand Woodpigeon leaving their roost near Bank Hall.
