I have posted a link to an angling website, not because I'm suggesting we all take up fishing, but because this site offers over 150 audio and video podcasts that some of us may find interesting. I certainly have!
The first is episode 116 which is devoted to the River Lostock and it's recovery as fish holding river from the 1960's when fish were absent.
The second is episode 150 which is about the Yarrow and is a great story about the restoration of the river, the role taken by the community via Friends of the river Yarrow (FrY), and ongoing/ future projects to keep improvements coming.
The podcast play from the website or can be downloaded via iTunes to listen to when convenient.
Both podcasts are very current being recorded in 2013.
