Recent observations

Post by Andy R »

Healey Nab - Thursday 11th.

2 jays, 1 wren, group of 8 blue tits, 2 possibly 3 gold crests in the pine woodlands, a group of 7 linnets (all female) in the scrub area to the south of the summit. No deer this week.

A little further affield, but interesting all the same. Last Friday I disturbed a group of roe deer whilst working in Roddlesworth plantation. I went back on Saturday armed with my camera, and was privillaged enough to get to within a few metres of a group of 2 female roe. Isn't wildlife fantastic!

Hope you got some good photos.
Its great to get close to wildlife, especially when the animals carry on doing whatever they were doing completely unfazed by your presence.
A real privilege. :D

I'm by no means a professional when it comes to photography, but I got one or two good ones. But the moment was priceless. Thanks, Tony.
