In a tree at the bottom of Harpers Lane well in excess of 100 Pied Wagtails were coming in to roost at around 4:30pm.

Another good place is in the trees next to Morrisons on the dual carriageway side, you can hear the birds all chatting to one another just as the light is fading

the trees alongside the taxi rank by the general post office and owd bus station in chorley use to hold roosts of over 300 birds some nights in past years
