White Coppice and Brinscall woods Sunday 30th November

Post by John Catt »

Walked from the cricket field then around No 8 lodge, GS Woodpecker in the storm damaged tree on the lodge bank, tree creeper along the goit, goldcrest, coal, blue, great and long tailed tits at the top of the pine woods near the old stables plus another tree creeper when going down the path. Several blackbirds, robins, wrens, pheasants and a flying heron on the way back plus a distant Raven cawing. And it was quite cold.

Does anyone have any sightings of Waxwings in the Chorley area. I know about the flock in Preston I was hopeing for a local tick.

Kind Regards John
