Canal, A674 To Top Lock

Pleasant walk on a beautiful day with the 'Boss' - so no time for stopping, must exercise! - but noted the following:-
Mallard 153, I think the canal now has the highest count of Mallard than anywhere, gone are the days of 300+ on the reservoirs; Moorhen 6; Canada Goose 1; Fieldfare 11; Redwing 31; LT Tit 3; odd Robin,Wren, B+G Tits, Chaffinch etc etc but also noticable good numbers (10 to 15) of House Sparrows in various hedgerows adjoining houses, farms etc
1 Rabbit and a Weasel running/sliding across the canal on the ice - very amusing!!
