Had a spare hour or so so went down to CVP.
Jackdaw + Rook, lot of activity all around the adjoining area - maybe up to 300 birds 50/50
On the pond, 12 Mallard, 6 Moorhen, 1 Coot and 1 Heron, several Magpies around 3/4 Jays and good numbers of Blackbirds.
12 L T Tits plus odd Wrens, Robins, etc

On Corn Stubble Field to the west of the small pond several flocks of finches and buntings in the field or adjoining hedgerows, approx numbers:-
L Redpoll 35, Chaffinch 15, Greenfinch 10, Reed Bunting 3, Linnet 6

Brian, when you talk about the stubble field , do you mean the large one which backs on to the quarry/tip ? which is also west and north of the orchid field
