how do you get all these great birds in your garden. all I get is blue tits and all the common species. I have tried for goldfinch and greenfinch for about 6 months, trying sunflower hearts, nyjer, black sunflower seeds and nothing comes up. but youre managing to get siskins and bramblings! how?

Jack, I live in the countryside and I guess the bramblings follow the chaffinches. But no siskin for me - yet ! Plenty of redwing in the field out at the back , but no fieldfare so far. The birds should eventually learn about your feeding station. Can you not attach your camera to your binoculars or a scope to get closer pictures ? Chris Rae.
