Earls Way. There are two ways to see to the alders: either knock on my front door and I'll let you in (with suitable ID!!) or follow the public footpath from Pear Tree Lane towards the Church. From the Pear Tree Lane end, as you enter the second field, stray off the footpath and walk downhill to the bottom of the field and you'll see the alders alongside Chapel Brook.

Loads of blue and great tits in the garden today along with a couple of lt tits, the resident pair of nuthatches, gs pecker, greenfinches, chaffinches, robins, and dunnock. I didn't see the flock of siskins today.

PS you will need Wellingtons and possibly ski sticks - it is muddy and can get slippery. The boys, their mates and even me have occasionally gone unintentionally mud sliding and ended up in either splat on our backs in the field or sometimes in the brook - great fun!
