a family member really think they have seen a white admiral on a wheel at Walkdens garage in Chorley.

I have shown them pictures of butteflies in Britain and also moths and they firmly believe it is the white admiral.

Have there been any records of a white admiral in Chorley?

There certainly hasn't been a record in the last 25 years. Nothing is impossible, but a White Admiral in a town setting is highly unlikely.
