Post by paul b »

Birds -pairs of reed bunting and oystercatcher; singing wren, greenfinch, chiffchaff; mallard

Insects -15+ common blue damselflies; Emperor dragonfly

Fish -many minnow and/or stickleback -need to properly ID in and around masses of vegetation. This was unusually visible and could be due to warm weather and decreased canal traffic (?)

Flowering plants -meadowsweet, hedge woundwort, foxglove, hogweed, cow parsley. bindweed, great willowherb, rosebay willowhearb

Probably Roach fry or Sticklebacks, Minnows are a species that lives in flowing water.
