There are often 20+ Canada geese in fields west of Botany Bay mill, which have about 30 cattle and 40 sheep so also have large (30+) flocks of jackdaw and starling. May be where they were heading depending on altitude.

There are often 20+ Canada Geese on the lodge in Brinscall, 30 is perhaps pushing it though. There are at least an additional 5 goslings there now, and we often see smaller family groups eg. 5 to 6 flying around here and over the edges of the moors.
