Common Bank Lodge and surrounds

Enjoyed close encounters with a few families of birds this afternoon (young in brackets) : Little Grebe (3) and Mallard (8) on the lodge, Whitethroat (4), Mandarin (6+) on the river, Treecreeper (2+) and Robin (2+)
100+ Common Spotted Orchid in one 10 sq metre area of meadow. 2 hybrid 'marsh' Orchid as well.
Singles of Small Tortoiseshell and Banded Demoiselle. 5 Chimney Sweeper Moth still about as well.
