Wymott Ponds Area

Post by 1swallow »

Early morning at Wymott there were still plenty of Warblers singing though I’ve not heard the Grasshopper Warbler by the entrance to the old Ulnes Walton landfill site for a while.

I checked out the pond where the Little Grebes have bred and finally got a decent view of a couple of youngsters again, now in juvenile plumage. Also several Yellowhammers singing away off Ridley Lane and Pump House Lane today.

Hi Peter

Just wondering what circuit you do around Wymott.

Been reading your reports over past few weeks and looking to call that way tomorrow morning before moving on to Eyes Lane area.

Thanks
