An afternoon for fledglings. Young of Chiffchaff, Bullfinch, Robin, Mistle Thrush, Nuthatch and GSW around the lodge. Little Grebe family very noisy
Many orchids now flowering on the meadows. Common Spotted numerous (20+) seen and what I believe to be Early Marsh Orchid (sub-species pulchella) - photo attached.
Large Skipper, Peacock and Small Tortoiseshell (1 each)
Quieter on the small pond - 2 Broad-bodied Chaser, 2 Banded Demoiselle, numerous 'blue' Damselflies and 1 Blue-Tailed Damselfly.
