23 singing Willow warblers were counted on a walk from White Coppice to Heatherlea Woods this morning - a similar number to last year. far fewer were Whitethroat 1, Chiffchaff 3 and Blackcap 3. Best bird though was a singing Redstart alongside the Goit. Also encountered were Grey Heron, Curlew, Cuckoo, Swallow, Goldcrest, Nuthatch at regular nest site, LT Tit flock, Song Thrush 4, Dipper, Lesser Redpoll and Reed Bunting.

I wasn't 100% sure yesterday but I thought I saw the Redstart flying into a tree were the building is near the bridge crossing the Goit into Heatherlea Wood.
