Another good mothing session last night. New ones for the garden were Small Pheonix, Clouded Brindle and, we think, Grey Pug. Also 3 Light Brown Apple Moth, 2 Bee Moth, 2 Common Carpet, Common Marbled Carpet, and one unidentified micro moth.

Ok. Probably going to need to invest in a micro moths guide now - have realised our guide is for macro only - explains why we couldn't find Bee Moth the other day. Thanks again.

I think your Pug is a Common.

Having had another look, agree it's a Common Pug - can just make out the white spots on the wings. Thanks for the book recommendation - will have a look. Thanks again.
