Whimbrels Wymott Ponds Area

Post by 1swallow »

Loads of Whimbrels again this morning. At first light Reed Warbler and Grasshopper Warbler singing by in the reed bed next to Ridley Lane by the fishing pond. 2 Lesser Whitethroats singing in the same areas as yesterday.

I walked on to the hill on the old Ulnes Walton landfill site(field with the cows in). I had 75 Whimbrels today. 4 flying over with a Curlew and 71 using the field next to the railway line.
