Thursday evening 21.00hrs pair of Tawny Owls in and around the garden calling and flying around.

Last Sunday cut off due to storm Ciara, expecting same today, ponding (+30cm deep) at bottom of Well Lane and floods at bottom of School Lane.

Yesterday 14.45-16.30hrs walked up Well Lane, across moors, down to White Coppice:
Garden & up Well Lane, Heatherlea Woods - LT Tit party, GTit, Collared Doves, Woodpigeon, Dunnock, Chaffinch, Robin, Jackdaw, House Sparrow, Blackbird, Goldcrest*, Blue Tit, Magpie, Carrion Crow, GS Woodpecker, Song Thrush, Wren, Jay.
On the moors: 3 Meadow Pipit*, male Kestrel hunting over Calico Hall.
White Coppice: 2 Dipper, Mistle Thrush.
Walking back between WC and Brinscall heard 6 Song Thrush singing - there are 2 daily in the garden, seems to be a good start to the year for this sp.

Brinscall Lodge: 15 Canada Geese, 11 Moorhen, 24 Mallard inc domestics, 2 Muscovy Duck

Mammals: many molehills in field by Solomon's Temple, 2 adult Roe Deer with 2 young out in the open near the SW edge of Heatherlea Woods, Grey Squirrel in woods.
