Hic Bibi Nature Reserve - 4 Blue Tit, 3 Great Tit, 2 Blackbird, 1 Singing Song Thrush, 2 Bullfinch, 2 Magpie, Carrion Crow, 30+ Woodpigeon, flock of 20+ Goldfinch near entrance road to nursery, Coal Tit heard, mixed flock of Redwing and Fieldfare 30+ but 2/3rds Redwing, 4 singing Robins 2+ Dunnock, 20+ corvid flock in fields. 2 Tree Sparrows* in trees near gardens, 4 House Sparrows in hedge off Coppull Moor Lane, 1 Collared Dove on top of barn opposite entrance road.
Trip from Leyland to Eyes Lane - 1 Barn Owl* hunting in second field to west of railway to the north of Cocker Bar Road.
Eyes Lane Bretherton - rather late so too dark to see much. No sign of anticipated Barn Owl, a Tawny Owl was seen crossing Eyes Lane, 1 Kestrel (Jessy), 4 Canada Geese over, Whooper Swans could be seen in the field between the River Douglas and the Rufford Canal.
2 new species * takes my list to 87
Trip from Leyland to Eyes Lane - 1 Barn Owl* hunting in second field to west of railway to the north of Cocker Bar Road.
