Croston Moss

Nice walk on the moss this morning in the sun. Birds seen; Lesser number of Fieldfare and Redwing than on the 15th of this month. Collared Doves. Quite a few Woodpigeons around but expected to see more at this time of the year, even the Corvids appeared less in number. 1 Jay. 2 Wren. Magpies. Several Yellowhammer, Meadow Pipits and Reed Buntings. 1 chaffinch. 2 Dunnock. 1 Songthrush. 2 Pheasants. 2 Robin. Lots of Goldfinch. 2 Kestrels. Blackbirds. 140 Whooper Swans and 24 Canada Geese with a few Mute Swans on one of the flooded fields on Finney Lane. Several Pied and 1 Grey Wagtail and two Stonechats.
