Withnell Fold

Plenty water in the flashes, but only 1 bird, a Carrion Crow. However in a recently harvested field farther west I noted a flock of around 50 Lapwing, 30+ Black Headed Gulls, 30+ Corvids and around 40 Starling. In a tree near to this field was a male Reed Bunting. Other birds seen/heard were 4 Mallard & 2 Moorhen on the Canal, 2 distant Common Buzzard, in the woods were 2+ Coal Tit, 1 Blue Tit, several Woodpigeon, Jay heard, Skylark heard, Nuthatch heard, 8 Redwing over, Goldcrest heard, Wren heard, 3 Robin, Chaffinch heard, 1 Blackbird, several Jackdaws & 2 Pied Wagtail in the factory area.

Mammals - 2 Grey Squirrel near the houses, 1 Mink in the nature reserve in the former boardwalk pool.

Fungi - Trooping Funnel, Clouded Funnel, Common Inkcap and Brown Conecap.

Chorley Cemetery

Birds seen/heard - Woodpigeon, Jackdaw, Jay heard, 2 Magpie, Blue Tit, Coal Tit, 1 Mistle Thrush.

Mammals - 4+ Grey Squirrel.

Fungi - Trooping Funnel in 3 locations, Shaggy Inkcap and 2 yet to be identified.

Steeley Lane

A flock of around 30 Starling descended on the Rowan trees as I was passing.
