Croston/mawdesley moss .

Whooper swans were the main highlight this morning with flocks 17 , 15 , 10 , 37 and 4 seen , 1000+ pinkfoot in the area , meadow lane flood held lots of lapwing and bh gulls also a good count of 6 redshank and 2 golden plover , a pair of stonechat was good to to see , 16 snipe flushed , smallnumbers of linnet , meadow pipit and skylark , reed bunting , yellowhammer , 3 kestrel , 2 buzzard , 2 raven .

Just to add a covey of 5 Grey Partridge flushed along the track by Great Close, plus a pair of Stonechat on the fence line along Great Close. Is that where you saw them, Gary?

The pair of stonechat were near to the Alma wood , i walked along the great close track and it was very quiet .
