Six intrepid members took part in the fungal foray which explored the woods on the east side of Anglezarke reservoir and around High Bullough Reservoir on what was a dry if cloudy morning.
A total of 40 + species were recorded with 10 or more yet to be identified, the identified fungi were:
White Saddle, Elfin Saddle, Gistening Inkcap, Common Inkcap, Amethyst Deceiver, The Deceiver, Turkeytail, Clustered Bonnet, Snapping Bonnet, Purple Jellydisc, Jellybaby, Candlesnuff Fungus, Yellow Brain Fungus, Variable Oysterling, Common Puffball, Pestle Puffball, Common Earthball, Blackleg Polypore, Ochre Brittlegill, Giant Funnel, Goblet Waxcap, White Knight, Birch Knight, Poisonpie, Giant Polypore, Deer Shield, Buttercap, Wrinkled Club, Sulphur Tuft, Birch Polypore.
Birds seen/heard included - 1 Dunnock, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Coal Tit, Robin, 1 Song Thrush, 1 Starling, Woodpigeon, Nuthatch, 1 Treecreeper, 2 Goldcrest, 2 Pied Wagtail, 1 Grey Wagtail, Raven, Carrion Crow, Jay heard, Chaffinch heard, Mallard, 4 Tufted Duck, Meadow Pipit heard, small Warbler seen quite pale coloured in a tit flock possibly Chiffchaff (Siberian?).
Mammals seen - 1 Red Fox and 2 Grey Squirrel.
Amphibians seen - 2 Common Frog.
