Floods .

Pair of mute swan with 3 young feeding on the field across from the e shaped ponds with several b h gulls , eyes lane was full of canada and greylag geese , small numbers of mallard , 1 gadwall , large number of gulls flew over at dusk ( several hundred ) with 8 lapwing , 1 snipe buzzing around , cormorant , 2 heron and a goosander over , 2 small skeins of pinkfoot over , small flock of skylark , 2 buzzard ( 1 hunting almost owl like at times ) 1 kestrel , peregrine on pylon seen at dusk , tawny owl seen in flight along back lane , barn owl seen hunting along moor/ southport road area at dusk .

In addition to Garrys Eyes Lane sightings. 25 plus thrushes mostly Redwing flying around with Mistle Thrush and what looked like a few Fieldfare mixed in. Also flushed several Snipe. Chaffinch, Meadow Pipits, robin and the tops of the hedge rows were full of Starlings in places. Also a Gull with what looked like a broken wing.
