Still a few of following in flower-herb robert,nipplewort,hairy bittercress,smooth sow thistle,enchanters nightshade,bd.lvd.willowherb,red bartsia,meadow buttercup,red clover,gt.willowherb,creeping thistle,hogweed,foxglove,ragwort

Chiff-chaff heard calling in Heatherlea Wood
MOOR
The Calluna heather is begining to fade
Bees-Saw about 8 but only close to one-a white tailed bumble
Birds- plenty meadow pipits(about 40),c.crow,
by fenced coppice-wren,kestrel hunting in area,pheasant(h)
Butterflies-6 red admirals,1 small copper
Dragonflies at Moorland Pools
2 black darter and an ovipositing Common Hawker among the Potamogeton pondweed-this pool had several water boatman visible from its edge.
1 black darter at the other pool by the path which has mostly sphagnum and rushes in it and no visible aquatic inverts from the edge.
Fungi-Several unidentified species on the edge of the fenced coppice,including many deep purple ones with purple gills and a depression in the cap centre

Lydia, the purple fungi you found could be Amethyst Deceiver.

Thanks Len-having re-read description in Collins complete guide I think I was flumoxed by them being deeper colour than have seen before but rest of description agrees
