Finney Lane

A couple of hours on the Finney and alongside the river to Red Bridge.
Finney Lane; Lots of Woodpigeons and Corvids around the area. 2 Swallows. 2 Kestrels. Small numbers of Goldfinch and Linnet. A very large number of Meadow Pipits flew over the path from one field to the next. Moorhen with 5 chicks. 2 Common Darters. 2 Painted Ladies and 3 Red Admirals.
River Douglas to Red Bridge; Mostly Mallard on the river with 2 Mute Swans. 1 Grey Heron. 1 Kestrel. Lots of Woodpigeons and Corvids. 23 Goldfinch on the wires. Lots of Small Whites. 2 Painted Ladies. several Red Admirals and a pair of Green veined Butterflies copulating. 2 Male Migrant Hawkers near the sub station.
