After leaving Gary at Great Hanging Bridge I walked along the River Douglas to Red Bridge then down Eyes Lane and across the field that flooded last winter (which has a certain amount of flood water and exposed mud in it) to the footbridge across the rough field and then back along Eyes Lane.

Birds seen - Croston Moss as Gary's sightings.

Gt Hanging bridge/Eyes Lane - 2 Kestrel, at one stage both were attacking what I thought was a Buzzard. Flushed 10 Snipe from the rough field. The only bird on the flooded field was a moulting Pheasant.

Other birds seen/heard were Chaffinch, Reed Bunting, Starling, Blackbird, Magpie, Jackdaw, Rook, Carrion Crow, Woodpigeon, 40+ Mallard on the River Douglas including a white duck, Robin, Long Tailed Tit.

Butterflies - 1 Painted Lady (roosting in a hedge), 3 Large White.

Odonata - 1 Common Darter.

Mammals - Molehills in various locations & 1 Brown Hare.
