Wood sandpipers on the moss !

Great to find 2 wood sandpipers on the great close flood this evening , got decent views and flight call confirmed the id , with the wood sand were 3 snipe and 10 lapwing also saw 5 more snipe , 1 curlew , peregrine was in full hunting mode but missed a kill , had a look at the eyes lane flood earlier which was full of snipe ( around 40 birds ) sparrowhawk twice seen hunting the lane .
Wood sandpiper brings the chorley list up to 137 species .
