Anglezarke Moor

A glorious evening for a wander over the moors, 6.30-10.00pm. the highlight being close views of a very vocal Golden Plover near Round loaf.
2 Grasshopper Warbler were reeling near Drinkwaters and a pair of Stonechat were at Great Hill farm.
Willow Warblers were singing at Drinkwaters and Dean Black Brook.
Other sightings.
Meadow Pipit c20. Skylark 5-10. Reed Bunting. Linnet. Curlew 2. Common Snipe 2.

For some reason there is hardly any Cotton Grass on the moor this year.
