Chisnell Colliery

Post by MarkF »

Years since I've been here, the millenium woodlands are certainly more bedded in now and a lot more paths to explore.

Carrion crow, magpies, jays fighting in the woods, long tailed and blue tits, robin, blackbird, song thrush, dunnock, wren, pheasant, willow warbler, chiffchaff, whitethroat, blackcap, skylark, kestrel, buzzard, goldcrest, GS woodpecker.

Plants inc. lots of birdsfoot trefoil, bramble, nettle, campion, hogweed, cow parsley, buttercup, ladies purse, sowthistle, ragwort, scentless mayweed, common thistle, foxglove, common vetch.

Lots of slugs and frogspit, rabbits, single roe deer at distance.
